One day, I read a small story: An old man and a kid led a donkey to a fair. At first, the kid rode the donkey, while the old man walked. Then, passers-by saw them and said the kid was naive and that he should let the old man ride the donkey. So the kid dismounted and let the old man ride it. Later on, they encountered a person who said the old man was too selfish to ride the donkey alone. Thus they rode it together. After a while, some people met them and commented that they were cruel for they would exhaust the donkey. For this reason, they got off it and walked the donkey. Again, another passing person said they were silly for they didn’t ride the available donkey. They did not know whom they should listen to. Finally, they pushed the donkey into a well and had nothing left.

A long time ago, there was a small island, where people’s necks were thick for lack of iodine. However, the residents weren’t aware and thought their necks were quite normal. Because all the people of the island were like this from generation to generation. One day, a geologist came to the island for an investigation. Seeing his neck so thin, the people of the island said he was sick and abnormal. The geologist told them the truth, “It is all of you that are sick for you are affected with severe iodine deficiency. You should eat more iodine-containing foods to solve the problem.” Yet no matter what the geologist said, they did not believe it and insisted that, “We’ve always been like this through the ages. You are abnormal! You are sick!” In order to help them free from the suffering caused by the illness, the geologist advised them to go out and take a look. After repeated exhortations by the geologist, two of them went along with him to a city outside the island. They came to a sudden realization when they saw all people’s thin necks and the laboratory report offered by the doctor. Then they admitted they were sick indeed and were willing to cooperate with the doctor.

I am from Shenyang City, and was a leader of the True Jesus Church. In 1995, a flood brought our family business to the verge of breakdown, so I went to a Christian church to seek a tower of strength. In the second half of 1996, I entered the True Jesus Church. After I joined this Church where believers prayed in tongues, I felt sure it was the only Church which had the sealing of the Holy Spirit and the proof of entering the kingdom of heaven, and that it was the ark of the last days, into which all other denominations will be integrated in the future. In 1997, I returned to my hometown to preach the gospel and establish the church, and the number of believers rapidly increased to more than forty.

Su Mingyue is a preacher of a house church in mainland China. It is recorded clearly in the Bible that the Lord Jesus is Christ, that He is the Son of God. Yet the Eastern Lightning testifies that the incarnate Christ is the manifestation of God, that He is God Himself. So is the incarnate Christ the Son of God? Or is He God Himself? Almighty God says, "'Jesus is the beloved Son of God, in whom He is well pleased'.... That was God bearing witness to Himself, but merely from a different perspective, that of the Spirit in heaven bearing witness to His own incarnation. Jesus is His incarnation, not His Son in heaven. Do you understand? Do not the words of Jesus, 'The Father is in Me and I am in the Father,' indicate that They are one Spirit? And is it not because of the incarnation that They were separated between heaven and earth? Question: You have told us that the Lord Jesus has returned and He’s been incarnated to do His work. We all know that the Lord Jesus was the incarnation of God. Once His work was finished, He was crucified and resurrected, appearing to His disciples, and then ascended into heaven in His spiritual body. It’s just like it says in the Bible, “You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). And so, this has all been confirmed in the biblical scripture. When the Lord comes again, it will be through His resurrected spiritual body that He appears to us. Why would God choose to be in the fleshly form of the Son of man in the last days to perform His judgment? So what is the difference between these two forms, the spiritual body of the Lord Jesus and the Son of man in the flesh?
